Best Digital Marketing Courses in Salt Lake: Fees, Syllabus and Career Options
A shop owner in Sector V has ₹30,000 a month to promote a new product. Should it go on Google Search ads, Instagram ads or a combination of both? A trained marketer should be able to answer with reasons: what the business wants, who the buyers are, what each channel is likely to cost and how the result will be checked. If a course never makes you practice that kind of reasoning, a long list of tools will not make up for it.
That is the first thing to look for when comparing digital marketing courses in Salt Lake and Sector V. The second is how plainly an institute describes what you receive at the end. A completion certificate, a Google or Meta credential and a placement guarantee are three different things, and good institutes keep them apart. Cost is the third, because the quoted fee and the final bill are not always the same. At Mivja, we publish our fee of ₹18,499, set out our five modules in full and explain exactly what our placement assistance covers. You can run the same three checks when you compare digital marketing courses across India.
Five Institutes Worth Comparing Before You Enrol
Mivja
Mivja is a Kolkata-based digital marketing training institute and services provider. Its course runs for six months at a published fee of ₹18,499 and has five modules: SEO, Google Ads, social media, content marketing, and analytics and strategy.
The modules are sequenced so that each one gives the next something to work on. Keyword research shows what people are searching for, content turns those findings into useful pages, advertising tests the message, and analytics helps show what worked. Every module ends with an assignment, and Mivja’s published course information lists website audits, keyword research, demo Google Ads campaigns, social media content plans and analytics reports. Having completed these, a learner can walk an employer or client through what was done and why.
Mivja is open about the boundaries. Google Ads practice runs on demo budgets and case studies, so no one learns on a client’s money. Paid social is an overview, not a full specialism. Mivja’s placement assistance includes mentorship, portfolio guidance and career advice, and it is not a job guarantee. Google’s Skillshop certification is awarded by Google, while Mivja’s certificate records completion of its course.
Kolkata Digital Marketing Institute
KDMI’s six-month master course is organised into eight levels. They begin with marketing concepts, move through social media, graphic design and video, Meta Ads, SEO and analytics, Google Ads, and email and WhatsApp marketing, and end with agency skills and a capstone strategy project. The institute states that it runs hybrid batches and that students can earn Google Ads, HubSpot and Facebook certificates in addition to its own. Its website lists a Salt Lake Sector 5 branch in GN Block, along with branches at Hazra and Esplanade, while some directory listings show other Salt Lake addresses, so confirm your batch’s branch with the institute. The current course fee is not published in the sources we could verify. Contact the institute directly for its latest pricing and any additional charges.
99eedu Institute
99eedu’s Digital Marketing Course has a duration of 96 hours and is listed at ₹35,000, with EMI options. The institute says the course is taught in small hybrid batches and covers search, paid advertising, social media, email, analytics and AI tools. Its website gives an address on Dum Dum Road. Contact the institute to confirm the internship duration, whether it is paid and the terms involved. Its website also describes placement support, so ask what that includes and whether any placement assurance applies to your batch.
Karmick Institute
Karmick’s six-month Digital Marketing Course with AI comes in two tiers. Its course page lists TechMaster at ₹55,500 and TechMaster Pro at ₹66,600, shown as discounted from higher listed prices, with zero-interest instalment plans. The page says the Pro tier adds a certificate from Vishlesan i-Hub, IIT Patna, while TechMaster carries Karmick’s own certificate. The institute is in the SDF Building in Sector V and says classes can be online, offline or hybrid. It advertises 100% placement assistance, so ask what that support includes in practice.
IDCM
IDCM offers certificate, diploma and advanced diploma programmes, with durations ranging from three to nine months. According to IDCM, its advanced programme includes a paid internship, 36 or more live projects and up to 21 certifications. The institute also advertises a job guarantee, so ask for the eligibility requirements and written terms before enrolling. Batch-level placement figures are also worth asking for. Its listed centre is on Chowringhee Road in central Kolkata. Its current fees are not consistently published, so contact IDCM directly for pricing and any additional charges.
The Difference Between Learning a Tool and Knowing How to Market
A syllabus can name Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console and still say little about judgment. What counts is what a learner can explain when the classes are over.
Start with a website audit. A page missing from search results may have thin content, slow loading or an indexing problem. A good audit investigates the cause and identifies which issue should be addressed first. A campaign needs the same kind of explanation: its objective, its daily budget and the reason that amount was chosen.
Measurement is where many beginners fall short. Picture a coaching centre running ads for a new batch. The dashboard shows impressions and visits, and both are useful signs that the advertisement is being seen and clicked. They cannot say how many admission enquiries each advertisement produced, though. For that, form submissions and phone calls have to be set up as conversions. A marketer needs to decide what counts as a result before the campaign starts and build the tracking to match.
This is why the order of modules and the assignments attached to them matter. An audit from the SEO module, a campaign plan from the Google Ads module, and a report from the analytics module are three pieces of work that connect, and together they show a learner’s reasoning from research to result.
Feedback matters as much as the assignment. “Nice work” teaches little, while “your ad promises a free quote, but the landing page hides the form” teaches a great deal. A beginner can reasonably carry three things into an interview or client meeting: an audit with a prioritised fix list, a campaign plan with reasons, and a short report that interprets the data.
If search is the area that interests you most, our guide to SEO courses in Kolkata is worth reading alongside a broad course.
What Different Learners Should Weigh Most
School leavers gain most from guided practice, and digital marketing courses for students after Class 12 are a sensible place to start. Graduates seeking a first job need work they can talk through.
Working professionals should ask early how a schedule fits around their job, and our guide to digital marketing training for professionals covers that route. Career changers should look for a course that teaches marketing logic before tools.
Freelancers need reporting and client communication, since they will handle both alone. Business owners can usually skip breadth. Enough SEO, local search, ad budgeting and analytics to brief an agency or run campaigns themselves is the realistic target.
Five Things to Ask Each Institute
- Syllabus depth. How many sessions does a module such as analytics get, and what can a learner do at the end of it?
- Assignments and feedback. Do assignments run on real accounts, demo budgets or sample websites, and who reviews them?
- Total cost. Does the quoted fee include examinations, certificates and GST, and what are the refund terms?
- The certificate. An institute’s certificate records completion of its own course. Google, Meta and HubSpot offer their own credentials, subject to their respective requirements.
- Placement assistance. Assistance usually covers resume help, mock interviews and job leads. A guarantee is a stronger promise and should come with its conditions in writing.
What You Get from Our Course
Our course is built for people who want to understand why a campaign works, not only how to operate a platform. Over six months, you move from finding what customers search for, through writing and advertising, to measuring what succeeded, with an assignment at the end of each module to show for it.
It suits beginners who want a defined route, graduates putting together a first set of work, freelancers who must report to clients, and small business owners who want to run their own marketing with confidence. We say plainly where it stops: paid social is an overview, and any Google credential comes from Google, not from us.
